Here’s what I like lately.
You must watch this documentary. War in Afghanistan is daily life for just 1/4 the amount of troops America has in Iraq and it’s now a deadlier than ever. Frontline is the best in the business at presenting information the way it is and I was shocked at what I learned. The situation in “The Forgotten War” is so much more fragile and complex than I thought. A really incredible program.
While you’re there, be sure to check out HEAT, another Frontline report on global warming.
Mornings in Brooklyn
I’ve been ceasing the day lately, getting up early to enjoy some relaxing time, usually at a coffee shop. This morning I read the paper and enjoyed 2 scrambled eggs on a fresh crescent with coffee at Choice, just down the road from my place.
I leave work usually around 7 PM, eat some dinner and usually can’t do much else but head for bed, so making the most of the morning has been worth it. I like getting things done in the morning, even if it’s just getting some good relaxing in.
Australia
Baz Luhrmann has a new movie coming out later this month and the companion site I was working on for it just launched. Check out australia.orbitz.com.
1. I’ve seen the trailer over a million times by now and I still want to see the film, I think it’s going to be good.
2. Working for the Australian Board of Tourism has inspired me to get out of the city again and fulfill my goal of seeing a new country at least once a year. Australia may have to come next. Depends on how good the movie is I guess.
Snow
I bought a Colorado ski pass a couple weeks ago which should be put to good use this winter. I’ve got unlimited access to Breckenridge, Arapaho Basin, and Keystone. Now I just need to calculate when the powder is the best and I’ll be there.
Needless to say, things are good here…

Yeah dude! I should be up at Breck 12-13 Dec. Let me know if you’ll be out that way. Also, Australia… awesome.
